About Naturalcartilage
A New Zealand-based team dedicated to helping people build meaningful outdoor wellness practices through guided, evidence-informed programs in natural settings.
Built Around a Simple Belief
Naturalcartilage was established in Auckland with one central belief: that spending structured, purposeful time outdoors is one of the most accessible and effective ways people can invest in their long-term wellbeing.
Our founders began by running small group walks in local reserves. Over time, the demand for structured programming grew, and we developed a comprehensive approach to outdoor wellness that today serves thousands of participants across New Zealand.
Every program we offer is shaped by the experience of our facilitators, the feedback of our participants, and a genuine commitment to creating outdoor experiences that are inclusive, purposeful, and enjoyable.
Connect With Us"We believe that the natural world is not a backdrop for wellness — it is an active participant in it."
Our Core Values
Three principles guide every decision we make, from program design to participant communication.
Safety First
Every program is risk-assessed and led by trained facilitators. Participant safety and comfort underpin all session planning and delivery.
Inclusion
We design programs to be accessible for people of different ages, fitness levels, and wellness experience. Everyone is welcome.
Environmental Respect
All our programs operate under a leave-no-trace approach. We care for the natural spaces that make our work possible.

Corporate ProgramsOur Program Approach
We draw on established practices in outdoor education, mindful movement, and nature-based wellbeing.
Evidence-Informed Design
Our programs are structured around established principles from outdoor wellness and mindful movement research. We continuously review and update our approach based on participant outcomes and facilitator observations.
Participant-Centred Delivery
Facilitators adapt each session to the group's energy, pace, and needs on the day. We do not follow rigid scripts — we follow the participants.
Progressive Learning
Multi-session programs are structured to build incrementally, so participants develop greater confidence and range in their outdoor wellness practice over time.
Continuous Improvement
After every session, facilitators record observations and participant feedback is collected. This cycle of reflection and adjustment keeps our programs current and effective.
Professional Standards We Uphold
Our team holds relevant qualifications and operates within established industry guidelines for outdoor education and wellness facilitation.
